Part Of The Tale

Snowflake Tales was never meant to be built by one person.

It grows through conversations, shared experience, different perspectives, and people who care deeply about how children are seen, heard and understood.

These are some of the people who have become part of that journey, bringing their knowledge, creativity, experience and heart to help shape what Snowflake Tales is becoming.

Sonal Kothari

Psychotherapist · Parent Effectiveness Coach · Facilitator

Sonal is a psychotherapist in private practice, parent consultant, G.T.I. certified Dr. Gordon’s P.E.T. facilitator, Flow Game Host and the founder of Journey2Selfhood.

With over two decades of experience supporting parents, individuals and groups, her work is informed by Montessori’s primary year’s training with A.M.I., Dr. Berne’s Transactional Analysis, Dr. J.L. Moreno’s Psychodrama, The Gordon Model (P.E.T.), attachment-informed approaches (Diane Heller Poole’s DARe), somatic body based practices (Dr. Raja Selvam’s ISP), Gary Craig’s Emotional Freedom Technique , Flow Game hosting, Ray Castillino’s Pre, Peri and Birth Imprinting and the raising of herself and her two now-adult children.

How Sonal sees the human experience:

In her approach to the human experience including the parent-child relationship which she is passionate about supporting and healing, Sonal uses five lenses in both her personal and professional life,

- intra-psychic lens: our inner worlds (inner chatter, belief systems, emotions, thoughts)

- inter-personal lens: the relational field between people (parent and child, husband and wife, siblings, friends, colleagues….). This is all about rupture and repair and the tools are boundaries and communication.

- familial/ancestral lens: (the family system, epigenetics and inter and intra generational dynamics and inheritance we have). These are the legacies we inherit even before we are born and unconscious patterns that drive our lives.

 - contextual lens in time and space (where we live, how old we are, what our birth position is, our socio-economic historical context and so on). The human experience cannot be understood devoid of the circumstances of our lives.

- spiritual lens (The Meta, God, Unified Consciousness Field, The Universe). Our relationship with the larger whole of which we are an inseparable part.

Sonal brings to Snowflake Tales both professional experience and a deeply held belief that parenting is an ongoing process of learning, unlearning and becoming.

It is a meeting of shared values and aspirations — the convergence of her  passion for supporting parents like Anirudh,  and aligning with Anirudh’s vision and commitment to Agasthya and to his creating meaningful possibilities for more children and their parents.

The larger idea is that a story does not end when the last page is turned. It can become a conversation, an activity, a moment of connection, or a new way of understanding a child and her world.  A resource and aid to life for parent and child alike.
