“Because every child deserves to find themselves in a story”
Hi, my name is Anirudh. I’m a single father, and my son Agastya is neurodivergent. One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced together is learning how to cope with change, and understanding that it’s okay to not be okay all the time.
Every night at bedtime, I would ask Agastya how he was feeling. But as a child, it wasn’t always easy for him to put deeper emotions into words. Like feeling displaced after moving homes, or afraid of the unknown. One of those nights, after he drifted off to sleep, I wrote the first story: Where The Moon Touched The Ground. The next evening, I read it to him. His response was incredible! He connected with the two wolves, saw himself in their journey, and began to express what he was holding inside.
That was the spark.
From there, I began weaving stories around his psychological needs and daily struggles. Slowly, the series took shape and I realized there must be many other parents like me, searching for stories that could help their children feel safe, seen, and understood.
That’s why Snowflake Tales creates books that embrace all kinds of families. From single-parent to blended, from distance-separated to those who have lost a parent. Because every child deserves to find themselves in a story, and never feel ashamed of who they are or what they feel.
